FAQ

  • We can’t wait to celebrate with you under the Texas sky! April in Central Texas is typically warm, so we recommend breathable fabrics and styles you’ll be comfortable dancing in. Embrace the western spirit if you’d like—it’s all part of the fun—but classic wedding attire is just as perfect. Here’s what to wear for our celebratory weekend of good music, good food, and even better company.

Friday’s Welcome Party — Cowboy Cocktail
We’re kicking off the weekend with a festive Round Top evening. Think dressy but relaxed: jeans with a button down, flowy dresses or skirts, and lightweight layers. Cowboy boots, hats, bandanas, pearl snap shirts, and western touches are always welcome but never required. Check out our photo board to get inspired!

Saturday’s Ceremony and Reception — Texas Formal
Our ceremony and reception will be a little more polished. Suits and ties (or bolo ties!) and long dresses or dressy jumpsuits will fit right in. Given the warm weather, lighter fabrics are encouraged. Cowboy boots, hats, sequins, fringe, and other Texas nods are welcome, though classic formal attire is equally appropriate. We’ve put together another photo board to spark your creativity!

  • Mid-April in Central Texas is typically warm, with daytime highs in the mid-70s to low-80s and cooler evenings in the mid-50s to low-60s. While we’re hoping for a classic Texas spring day, spring weather can be unpredictable and temperatures may be warmer (occasionally reaching the upper-80s) or include brief storms. We recommend packing layers and planning for warm weather.

  • Many of you will be traveling to celebrate with us in Texas, so your presence means the world to us and is all we ask for. If you'd like to do more, you can browse our gift registry here.

  • We’ve reserved all of the rooms at Hotel Lulu for the weekend, and we encourage you to stay there if you can. It’s within walking distance of all of the weekend’s events and is an amazing property that takes service and style way beyond what you’d expect from a tiny Texas town.

If Hotel Lulu isn’t right for you, there are many, many great options all around the Round Top area.

Check out our Travel page for the full run-down.

  • We recommend arriving Friday afternoon so you can settle in before the Welcome Dinner at 6pm. If you can’t make it on Friday, feel free to arrive on Saturday. We’re expecting most folks to head out on Sunday morning but there is plenty to explore in central Texas if you decide to stay a little longer.

  • Everything is within walking distance in Round Top, so you can stroll between venues. If you prefer to drive, there’s plenty of parking nearby all of the weekend events.
